Simpson's Episodes

[edit]

I'm not entirely sure that the statement about Get Ready For This appearing in Simpsons records is true. Whenever a rave is shown on the show, they play a song that sounds a bit like Get Ready For This but isn't it. Is this where the confusion has come from? Triangle e 10:06, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Antonio

[edit]

Antonio "Upper Decker" Pou blasts the song in his Georgetown, TX bedroom right before he makes sweet love to his wife.

Not sure how on earth that is relevant to the subject..

It's bull and unreferenced so DELETE Triangle e 09:17, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The song was used in a Mazda commercial in 1995, played quite often during the summer.Davez621 14:39, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

American POV

[edit]

I'm a bit annoyed with this sentence: "However, its success was eclipsed elsewhere in the world ..." like everything that is not USA is elsewhere. Can anyone change this please Thomas271104 (talk) 19:15, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kylie sample

[edit]

In 1991 Kylie released the album Let's Get To It on the PWL label. I Guess I Like It Like That was included on the album.

Later that year 2 Unlimited released Get Ready For This on the PWL International Label. The main hook/riff of Get Ready For This is a replayed sample from the Kylie song.

I doubt you can substantiate this claim, I have also heard that "Techno Syndrome" by the Immortals, aka the Mortal Kombat song, is just a remix of Twilight zone", just because two electronic/techno sounding tracks use similar sounding riffs does not mean one is a sample of the other or a remix of the other, that is the very nature of how this music is produced. I have listened to the track you mentioned and the sample you allude to sounds similar it does not sound close enough to prove it was a sample or remix. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.109.185.68 (talk) 17:28, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
