We have also updated the way we stylize our name from "goPuff" to "Gopuff" and I was hoping we could have that edit made as well, please. Thank you! Snacksphilly (talk) 16:59, 19 April 2021 (UTC)snacksphilly[reply]

Hello. This is Liz again. I was hoping someone could help update a couple things on our article.

First, “digital delivery service” doesn’t fully explain what we do. Would there be a way to reword the first sentence to give a bit more context? Something like "Gopuff is a consumer goods and food delivery service?" Here are some sources for what we deliver:
https://techcrunch.com/2020/10/08/gopuff-funding/
https://www.forbes.com/sites/laurendebter/2020/08/31/gopuff-1-billion-venture-capital-online-convenience-store/?sh=6fc02e5228f0 https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/money/business/2018/12/20/gopuff-online-convenience-store-snack-food-delivery-service-des-moines-business-market-sales/2338230002/

We also had a couple announcements in May; we acquired Fancy in the UK and partnered with Uber Eats. I was wondering if something similar to the following could be added to our history section?

"In May 2021, Gopuff acquired Fancy, a UK-based food delivery service. (https://www.ft.com/content/0db992c6-acb1-437f-bd5b-7d73c81b4a04)(https://www.reuters.com/breakingviews/capital-calls-rapid-grocery-delivery-startup-gopuff-goes-british-2021-05-07/) Also in May, Gopuff and Uber Eats announced a partnership to sell products from Gopuff on Uber Eats. (https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/05/uber-partners-with-softbank-backed-gopuff-to-deliver-everyday-essentials.html)(https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-05-04/uber-taps-softbank-backed-gopuff-to-expand-grocery-delivery?srnd=technology-vp)"

Hello. This is Liz again. I was hoping someone could help with some minor updates for our article.

In March 2021, Gopuff was listed on CNBC's Disruptor 50 list. Could this detail be added to the history section after the information about the funding the company received that month? Maybe it could be worded like this: "That month, it was listed on CNBC's Disruptor 50 list."
Here's a source: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/25/these-are-the-2021-cnbc-disruptor-50-companies.html

Also in June 2021, Gopuff acquired RideOS. Could the last sentence of the history section be adjusted to say "In June of the same year, Gopuff acquired Liquor Barn, an alcoholic beverage chain, and announced the acquisition of RideOS for $115 million."
Here are sources for the acquisition:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-17/gopuff-to-buy-siemens-backed-rideos-in-100-million-plus-deal
https://techcrunch.com/2021/06/17/delivery-service-gopuff-acquires-rideos-for-115-million-plus/

Thank you in advance. Snacksphilly (talk) 18:16, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Snacksphilly:  Done (see diff). For next request, it will be useful for next reviewer if you can provide formatted citations. See {{cite news}}. Best, MarioGom (talk) 19:34, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MarioGom Happy to format them next time. Thank you for your help. Snacksphilly (talk) 19:48, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This is Liz again. I am hoping someone might be able to help with additional minor updates to our article.

First, we've expanded and we now operate in over a thousand cities. Could the sentence in the first paragraph be changed from “The company operates in over 650 US cities through approximately 500 microfulfillment centers as of October 2021” to read: “The company operates in over 1,000 US cities as of January 2022.”

Here is a source:

Hetrick, Christian (2022-01-29). "Gopuff will now sell its own line of products, starting with bottled water". Philadelphia Inquirer. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Part of this expansion also includes the acquisition of Dija, and a greater expansion into Europe. Could the next sentence be changed to read “It also operates in the United Kingdom, following the 2021 acquisitions of Fancy and Dija, with plans to expand across Europe.”

Here are three sources:

Browne, Ryan (2021-08-21). "A UK grocery start-up founded just 8 months ago has already been snapped up by a bigger U.S. rival". CNBC. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Warrington, James (2021-11-10). "London grocery delivery app Dija snapped up by rival GoPuff". City A.M. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Lunden, Ingrid (2021-11-09). "After acquiring Dija and Fancy, instant grocery startup Gopuff launches in the UK en route to European expansion". Tech Crunch. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Second, could you please add a sentence after that that reads “Gopuff operates the warehouses that stock many of the products it delivers.”

Here is a source:

Chapman, Lizette (2021-12-02). "When Same-Day Delivery Is Too Slow". Bloomberg Businessweek. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Third, in the first paragraph of the History section, can you please expand the phrase “food and goods typically sold in convenience stores” to be “food and goods typically sold in convenience stores and pharmacies.”

Here is a source:

Dotan, Tom (2022-01-24). "Surging demand for Covid-19 tests has been a windfall for delivery apps like Gopuff, DoorDash, and FastAF. One driver sees tips jump by more than 500%". Business Insider. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Fourth, we would like to correct the A round funding date to 2015, note that Accel joined Softbank in the next sentence, and remove unnecessary information about the Finnigan’s Wake building in the next sentence. Could the paragraph read: “In 2015, Gopuff raised $8.25 million in A round funding. In 2019, the company reportedly raised $750 million in funding from SoftBank and Accel, with a commitment for up to $250 million more. Also in 2019, Gopuff opened a new headquarters in Northern Liberties.

The sources already available should be sufficient for this.

Fifth, we would like to change some wording and add some information in the next paragraph. Can you please change this statement, “While founding Gopuff, Gola and Ilishayev bonded over their similar ancestries and family backgrounds, and later became supporters of Drexel's Jewish community, providing funding for Drexel Chabad to purchase a new building in 2020,” to: “While founding Gopuff, Gola and Ilishayev bonded over their family backgrounds, and later became supporters of the Drexel community, providing funding in 2020 for the purchase of a new building for Drexel Chabad and for a scholarship for Drexel’s Close School of Entrepreneurship.”

Here is a source:

Gross, Paige (2020-02-12). "goPuff founders donate $25K for Drexel student entrepreneur scholarship". Technical.ly. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Sixth, we would like to note that the partnership with Uber Eats involves white-labeling Gopuff products. Can you please modify that sentence to “Also in May, Gopuff and Uber Eats announced a partnership to sell white-labeled products from Gopuff through the Uber Eats app.”

Here is a source:

Hawkins, Andrew (2021-05-04). "Uber's grocery delivery is getting a boost from new partnership with Gopuff". The Verge. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Seventh, can you please correct and expand the next sentence as follows: “In June 2021, Gopuff acquired Liquor Barn, an alcoholic beverage chain, and announced the acquisition of rideOS, a logistics and routing technology company, for $115 million.”

Eighth, can you include the August 2021 acquisition of Dija to this section? The sentence would read: “In August 2021, Gopuff acquired Dija, a U.K. grocery delivery startup.”

Again, here is that source:

Warrington, James (2021-11-10). "London grocery delivery app Dija snapped up by rival GoPuff". City A.M. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Ninth, in December we received $1.5 billion in a funding round from Guggenheim Partners. Can you please add the sentence “In December 2021, Guggenheim Partners led a financing round that raised Gopuff $1.5 billion.”

Here are two sources:

"Delivery app Gopuff raises $1.5 bln - source". Reuters. 2021-12-16. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Dowd, Kevin (2021-12-19). "Reddit, TPG And Gopuff Join The IPO Pipeline". Forbes. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Tenth, we launched our own brand line in January. Can you please add the sentence: “In January 2022, Gopuff announced the launch of its own brand line.”

Here is a source:

Wells, Jeff (2022-01-18). "Gopuff launches its first private label line". Grocery Dive. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Eleventh, we would like to request a minor rewrite of the Services section. It would be more accurate to title the section “Services and business model,” since it discusses our business model with regards to warehouses. Additionally, we now deliver fresh, prepared food. We also launched a small business accelerator for underrepresented entrepreneurs, which has received coverage in USA Today and industry publications. Could the section be rewritten as follows:

“Heading: Services and business model”

"Gopuff owns the products it sells and stores them in local warehouses. The company primarily delivers snacks, drinks, household items, and toiletries, as well as pet and baby products like diapers. Alcoholic drinks and prepared food are available for delivery in some markets.

In December 2015, Gopuff launched a beer delivery service called goBeer. In May 2016, they launched an alcohol delivery service called goBooze. These services are organized under the umbrella of goBrands Inc.

In September 2021, Gopuff launched a small business accelerator for underrepresented entrepreneurs."

Here is a source discussing prepared food:

Baxter, Amy (2021-07-20). "Gopuff Launches Hot Meals in Kitchen Concept". Retail Leader. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

Here is a source discussing the small business accelerator:

Zillgitt, Jeff (2021-09-09). "Phoenix Suns' Chris Paul teams with Gopuff to assist underrepresented businesses and entrepreneurs". USA Today. Retrieved 2022-02-16.

And twelfth, we believe that the “Controversy” section is misnamed. The focus of the source used in that section is about the data transfer rather than negative reaction, so we were hoping that the section could be relabeled “Data transfer.”
