A fact from Gordon Cooper (American football) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 14 July 2024 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that football player Gordon Cooper performed so well that "the adjective supply [was] exhausted" in trying to describe him?

Comment: Was busy yesterday and forgot to nominate on time; requesting a one day extension per WP:DYKG, which states The seven-day limit can be extended for a day or two upon request.
Created by BeanieFan11 (talk).
Number of QPQs required: 1. Nominator has 190 past nominations.
Overall: When including the one day extension, the article is indeed new enough. I find the hook to be interested, and the source, being AP, is credible. The fact is also mentioned in the article. Marking as approved. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:11, 27 June 2024 (UTC) Hey man im josh (talk) 14:11, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I feel like we should change "national receiving leader" in the lead and body to "national receptions leader" to be clearer. Receiving leader could also mean yards.
"in American Legion leagues" is that the same thing as American Legion Baseball. If so, wikilink it.
Add "first-team All-Skyline Conference in all three seasons at Denver" to infobox.
"As a senior in 1951, he broke Art Weiner's record for career receptions" Is that a school record or national record? Make it clearer please.
The body says he coached wrestling at Rifle but infoxbox doesn't say that. Maybe change to "Football, baseball, wrestling, and track coach"?
