GRCs are the most presitgious conferences in most areas of science. The organisation runs 200-or-so conferences across the sciences each year, across Europe and North America. The journal Science devotes 10+ pages each year to publicising the program. The format is atypical, designed to allow discussion of the most up-to-date and cutting edge of research. Whether notability is yet established to the standards expected on WP or not, the GRC is emphatically a notable organisation for its impact on science.
