- Refsworldlee. Not sure if you are still around, but as you left a note here I will at least give a ping. I am working my way through referee articles and cleaning them up. There is a lot of WP:undue information presented involving particular games. On most occasions it is the fans on the wrong end of a decision coming here to insist it gets an in depth mention. Referees at this level have refereed many games and by virtue of being at this level are good referees, so focusing on individual games (especially as this is a WP:BLP) is very undue. All referees come up for criticism and it is not really notable unless it has an effect on their career (i.e they are stood down because of it).
- This is probably one of the more undue football referee articles I have come across. It has specific sections dedicated to criticism (a big no no in BLPs) and makes extensive use of quotes criticising his decisions. It also goes into too much detail on incidents only tangentially related to the referee (for example the racial abuse paragraph where his only role is that he was referee). Detailed game information belong in the articles on the games, not on the refs biography. I have trimmed most of this in my recent edits. AIRcorn (talk) 23:05, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. Undue criticism was perhaps added by others (it was a long time ago!). I am also a fan of a balanced viewpoint within articles. Ref (chew)(do) 06:43, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
