The result of the move request was: page moved. Nardog (talk) 04:41, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Gernika (film)Guernica (2016 film) – First of all I must say I agree with Film Fan. I created this article at Guernica (2016 film), then it was moved to Gernika (2016 film), which obviously and uncontroversially violates WP:NCF, so I moved it again to the current name, only to be reverted by Film Fan but a move request was rejected by admin RickinBaltimore. While the Guardian and Independent articles use Gernika, those were written when the film was in production. Subsequently the global rights to the film were acquired by Sony Pictures, which released the film in English-speaking countries under the title Guernica,[1][2], making it the "English language title that is recognized across the English-speaking world" which WP:NCF#Foreign-language films prescribes, while Spain remains the only country in which it was released as Gernika. • Support per nomination and WP:COMMONNAME. Wikipedia has a number of articles with the form "Guernica" in the main header, as seen under Guernica (disambiguation) and, although allowance may be made for a stylized exception, such as Gernika (opera), a key factor in using the common name is the poster appended to the article which clearly demonstrates that this film has been marketed, distributed and reviewed in the English-speaking world as "Guernica". —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 13:45, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, obviously, but there is no need for a RM. I have requested the target page to be deleted so this page can be reverted to that title, as the move was never discussed in the first place and was wrong. So if anyone thinks the title should actually be Gernika, that's when the requested move takes place. — Film Fan 17:17, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
