Image caption

[edit]

@Maculosae tegmine lyncis: a quick question about the caption on the image in this article. I'm not really understanding the last part, which says: "Sumiyoshi Myōjin with the winning charms of a modish Japanese bijin, with a bijin-ga in the ukiyo-e style; beyond boundaries". What does this mean? And is it cited in the source [2]? I'm not seeing it there. Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 08:14, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Beyond boundaries" - spelled out by eg Timon Screech in the paper referred to on pg 11 of "Deconstructing Boundaries"; but you're welcome to scratch "beyond boundaries", if it's too arcane, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 09:41, 3 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
