Movie year

The release date is early 1970, and the IMDb states 1970 as well, but the credits (at least in the version I viewed) plainly showed that the film was from 1969. Shouldn't the year listed here reflect the year listed in the credits? 209.90.140.72 (talk) 21:53, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There can be a difference between the year when the film was made and the year when the completed film was first exhibited to a public audience. Wikipedia goes by the release year, not the production year. Bearcat (talk) 20:34, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
