what about Nash and De Giorgi work??--achab (talk) 09:09, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Poor English
[edit]Does anyone check these articles? "Informally, and perhaps less directly, since Hilbert's concept of a "regular variational problem" identifies precisely a variational problem whose Euler–Lagrange equation is an elliptic partial differential equation with analytic coefficients" is not an English sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.70.251.158 (talk) 09:54, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
Olga Aleksandrovna Ladyzhenskaya
[edit]I've seen some sources mention that Olga Aleksandrovna Ladyzhenskaya was involved in solving Hilbert's nineteenth problem, but I don't know the details. For example: "Developing ideas of De Giorgi and Nash, Ladyzhenskaya and her coauthors gave the complete answer to Hilbert’s 19th problem." – Notices of the AMS. Does anyone know more information on what her contribution was specifically? Kaldari (talk) 05:30, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Information regarding ground-breaking works of Olga Aleksandrovna Ladyzhenskaya not mentioned. Her contributions nearly landed the Fields Medal in 1958. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.12.133.44 (talk) 08:16, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
Maz'ya Counterexample
[edit]In his page, Vladimir Gilelevich Maz'ya is quoted to have founded a counterexample (I assume the author meant the first one), but this information is not mentioned here, is it true? --Agi 90 (talk) 21:47, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
what's 'founded'?
