Article improvement

[edit]

The new text added here is very confusing. Please clarify the sequence of events and define your terms. What did she write? What did she direct? What is the nature of each of these works? Are they monologues, plays, or how can they be described? Please describe each more clearly and in chronological order. The infobox says she received grants from the NEA, but the article says she was denied a grant. If she received any, please describe the time frame in the article, and how the grants affected Hughes and her work. What did the NEA say about her work? Why did they give her grants? The introduction of the article should give an overview (summary) of the whole article. I took a quick look at just one of your sources, Hughes' bio at the university. I can see that it contains lots of important information that is not here. Please examine your sources and draw all the important information from them that will allow you to build a clear narrative about Hughes' life and works. How do the critics describe her work? What do they think about it? -- Ssilvers (talk) 07:25, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, please add the references that are missing in the article (where it says "citation needed"). Information that remains unreferenced must, unfortunately, be deleted. Please read these important policies: WP:V and WP:OR. Thanks! -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:02, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Holly Hughes has been partnered with another intellectually important lesbian for more than 20 years. Shouldn't that be mentioned since Wikipedia tends to mention heterosexual relationships and certainly spouses? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:643:8000:A550:ED56:CDD5:F2E0:E99 (talk) 04:49, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
