Concerning the political uprising stated in the entry...

[edit]

Wasn't it the Iranian Revolution? I think that's what it said, or at least implied it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.210.114.243 (talk) 00:15, 31 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Yes, it was the Iranian revolution. Also, my recollection is that the woman was not 'wrongfully' evicted. She was lawfully evicted after her house was sold for unpaid taxes. Tragically maybe, but not wrongfully. --/mjp (talk) 05:00, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, your recollection is wrong (I quite enjoyed this book, so I had to double-check my memory of it). At one point, Kathy's lawyer's assistant tells her "the county has admitted their mistake", which was caused by a mix-up between similar street names. Later, Behrani admits to his son, "The county tax`officials made a mistake and took from the wrong person her house." It WAS a wrongful eviction and confiscation of property. 24.128.188.152 (talk) 19:50, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Had the taxes been paid or not?

[edit]

This clause doesn't make sense: "because of unpaid taxes that the county wrongfully claims she has failed to pay." Were the taxes unpaid or weren't they? Krakatoa (talk) 19:36, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
