First line of the lead

[edit]

The first line is overexaggerating the influence of Grace on the Unnamed Hurricane/Halloween Storm. Can it be toned down to be more representative of what is stated in the article below? Thegreatdr (talk) 01:05, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's better. Thegreatdr (talk) 09:37, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Needs another chapter

[edit]

I googled this after watching the movie the perfect storm which was based on this storm, and was disappointed that this article didn't mention that movie. Someone needs to add a chapter called "In popular culturr" and discuss the George Clooney since that is probably the most famous aspect of the storm. ESPECILLY since that movie claims to be based on a true story, and spoler alert coming up one. two. three everyone dies in the movie, but this article says no fatalities. Makes me feel a need to read more about it somewhere else but, should be written here. Inhave very busy schedule cannot donthe research myself Sethwudel (talk) 02:13, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for typos. Should say Grorge Clooney movie. Inam not a wikipedian myself, but maybe others can add that chapter, clear up the fatalities discrepancy Sethwudel (talk) 02:15, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Andrea Gail

[edit]

I see that the deaths of the Andrea Gail were added to this storm. It seems to me that Hurricane Grace and the Perfect Storm were two distinct events. The Andrea Gail is mentioned at length in the article 1991 Perfect Storm and the deaths of the six crew are counted there. I think we should change the fatalities in this article back to zero. They were zero at the point that this article made it to featured status. I would like some feedback because I am not a meteorologist and this isn't a specific interest/hobby of mine.PopularOutcast talk2me 02:34, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@PopularOutcast: It looks like an IP changed it without reason and people just rolled with it. I've reverted the infobox to reflect no fatalities. ~ Cyclonebiskit (chat) 05:47, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
