Nice article, Hink. Here are a few comments

  • "Hurricane Paine in 1986 contributed to one of the most significant flooding events in Oklahoma history" no need for 1986
  • "By that time, Paine had attained peak winds of 100 mph (155 km/h), and it weakened slightly before hitting the Mexican state of Sonora." it should be replaced with but.
  • Any preparations from Roslyn?

Ill have more later, that is it for now. YE Tropical Cyclone 19:31, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review. I thought it'd be good to establish the year as soon as possible. Normally that happens in the first sentence. Do you still think I should remove it? Good call about "and --> but", and no, I couldn't find much of anything in Mexico on Paine. That's where the typical hurricane preparations would've been (evacs, whatnot). Likewise, I couldn't find good preps for inland US. Hurricanehink (talk) 19:38, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good. Here are some more comments.

  • with winds of 90 mph

metric units?

  • over an area of 82.9°F

metric units?

  • The flooding event caused $350 million in damage,

year?

  • half of which to agriculture

I reckon there is a word missing *what about the adding the Costliest Pacific hurricanes to the article?

  • wait for renaming the article because we do not have a WP:TROP consensus (I plan to write an article for the other Paine soem day). YE Tropical Cyclone

That's it for this round. As a recommendation, when this article passes replace it with one. YE Tropical Cyclone 22:25, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I addressed all of that. Hurricanehink (talk) 23:16, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I bolded the stuff you did not do. I am sorry if I confused you. YE Tropical Cyclone 23:37, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, there is no specific damage total for Paine, only for the larger rainfall event, so I opted not to include that template. Hurricanehink (talk) 00:56, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Great job. Ill read it once more to see if there is no more issues. If not, then you have another GA. YE Tropical Cyclone 14:21, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Last, but not least

  • one of two cyclones in the basin that warranted aircraft data

which storm? Newton? Roslyn? YE Tropical Cyclone 14:26, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
