Capitalization of "deaf"

[edit]

An IP (2601:19B:4002:671B:1566:4172:B12C:E86F) is repeatedly capitalizing the word "deaf" in the middle of a sentence. I have messaged this IP address; why are you repeatedly changing it back?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Oshwah (talkcontribs) 23:00, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why do IP editors do anything? It's a mystery. If I had to take a guess, I'd say it's a Deaf culture thing. That article goes into a little detail on capitalization issues. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:20, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No offence to anyone who is hearing impaired but I just read that article section and I have no idea what it meant. Either way, as far as I know in general "deaf" is not capitalized and I think it is best to keep it as that for now.*Treker (talk) 00:16, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It usually is related to Deaf culture but it is inappropriate in the plot summary for this film because the film does not indicate to what extent she identifies with Deaf culture. Sundayclose (talk) 01:27, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
