Railfan location?

[edit]

Is it just the impression that I get from NYCSubways.org, or is the IND Rockaway Line a popular site for railfans? Consider these links from Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street and Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue Stations before you answer this. ----DanTD (talk) 23:55, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The trip across Jamaica Bay is picturesque, so I suspect it is a popular route for railfan trips. From a practical viewpoint, the route is suitable for slower-moving trains since it sees a lot less service than most of the subway system. Marc Shepherd (talk) 13:55, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Diamond A is discontinued

[edit]

The MTA map no longer uses the diamond <A> symbol for trains to Rockaway Park. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.151.161.131 (talk) 19:00, 6 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
