Singles

[edit]

Isn't Murda Bizness also a single?--Nikinikolananov (talk) 16:35, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Impossible is Nothing

[edit]

"Impossible is Nothing" did not receive a separate release, it is just an album track that happens to be the only one available at the moment. Therefore, it is not a promotional single. Adabow (talk) 23:16, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If it received a separate release it would be a full blown official single. Common consensus is to label songs released only with the album's pre-order as promotional singles. STATic message me! 00:15, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tables

[edit]

In the tables should be countries if now has songs/albums in more countries. Black Widow (song) is a single to be released, why the song is in the section "Other charted songs"? If in "Other charted songs" listed songs that are not 'singles'. Connie (A.K) (talk) 17:53, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

When the song gets released as a single, I will be moving it myself.--Launchballer 21:21, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it should wait in that section until it is released as a single. STATic message me! 21:50, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The song was confirmed as singles from "The New Classic". It should deleted from "Other songs" because in that section are songs that aren't "singles". And, Tables must have charts of countries, shouldn't have charts of same countries if now Azalea's works has peaks in territories. Connie (A.K) (talk) 16:59, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Let's just wait for confirmation from the record label(s), either directly, or as a scheduled release (radio or digital). I do agree that if chart data is available for other countries then they should be added. The albums and singles charts should be aligned for consistency. Adabow (talk) 17:35, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@STATicVapor: Thanks Adabow & all for yours opinions. User StaticVapor, please leave your opinion, you was who disagreed without explication to add countries charts. Connie (A.K) (talk) 18:07, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, i didn't see StaticVapor's comment yesterday. I see that he had already commented about it. So, just wait for confirmation from the record label about Black Widow (song) and countries will be added in the tables. Remember, more comments are always welcome. Regards. Connie (A.K) (talk) 21:18, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sure it should be changed to countries, but Connie, let someone that knows how to do it change the tables. You were not doing it correctly. As others have said, once Black Widow is released then it can be moved. STATic message me! 21:54, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What??. What is wrong? The order? Please explains better. I fixed the order. And about black widow chart position, the song isn't peaked in NZ according to the source. Regards. Connie (A.K) (talk) 23:40, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why can't bubbling under numbers be reflected?

[edit]

Regarding this edit: if Bubbling Under serves as extensions for the US Hot 100 and R&B charts, why can't Bubbling Under numbers be reflected directly in discographies not just as footnotes? Arbor to SJ (talk) 06:21, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's not an extension, it's a ranking of all the songs which haven't yet charted on the Hot 100 (or whichever the main chart is). The "extension" wording should be removed. Adabow (talk) 07:17, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The relevant policy is WP:BILLBOARDCHARTS, which says: "On singles discography tables, do not add 100 to a Bubbling Under peak if the song never entered the corresponding chart (i.e Billboard Hot 100 and Bubbling Under Hot 100 or R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles). Doing so would violate WP:SYNTH by creating information not directly supported by the source (i.e. the notion that the Bubbling Under chart is an extension to the main chart and the position). It should be indicated as an uncharted song with a footnote to indicate the Bubbling Under peak." — Mayast (talk) 15:07, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional singles

[edit]

Why is the promotional singles section removed everytime someone adds it if "Impossible is Nothing" and "Iggy SZN" are promotional singles. They shouldn't be listed as other charted songs. Other artists' discographies feature sections for both promotional singles and other charted songs. Why can't the Iggy Azalea discography page have both sections if it has been confirmed both songs are promotional singles? --190.194.10.99 (talk) 21:12, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop footnote

[edit]

In the US Hot 100 chart in singles, a footnote is included that lists

""Bounce" did not enter the Billboard Hot 100, but peaked at number one on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles"

Per chart policy, the only chart notes than can be added if a song hasn't entered the Hot 100 are:

  • Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles
  • Hot 100 Airplay (Radio Songs)
  • Hot Singles Sales
  • Digital Songs
  • On-Demand Songs
  • Streaming Songs

Had this been a separate chart for the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, the following charts may be added:

  • Adult R&B Songs
  • Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles
  • Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay
  • Hot R&B Songs
  • Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales
  • Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop
  • R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs
  • Hot Rap Songs (entries after October 20, 2012)

So per policy, I've removed the note. Azealia911 talk 09:50, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
