Copy editing but article still needs work
[edit]Copy editing on several aspects of this article, see list below. However, the article still needs work, especially by editors knowledgeable with the local culture.
- General copyediting.
- Removed link to an empty website on the information box.
- Used Ketu instead of Ketou in all mentions, for consistency.
- Changed “ILE-IFE” to Ife and linked to article.
- Simplified name of Yoruba deity to just “Oduduwa” in every mention and linked to article.
- Link to Yoruba people added in text.
- Removed repetition for clarity in the History section.
- Removed this section from history “Oduduwa and the line of Alaketu” as it was just a copy paste from the Oduduwa article.
- Is Sopasan the same as Alaketu?
- What is “Ose Sango and Edun Aara”?
- Removed isolated, incomprehensible mentions of: "Babalase the Native Doctor" and "Iji Agananku the great warrior".
- Moved youtube link to external links section.
- Removed “Publisher” as irrelevant.
- Removed empty sections.
- Removed Landmarks/Compounds section, since it did not add to the quality of the article.
- Multiple edits for correctness, clarity and non-encyclopedic language in the “Colonial years” section.
- Removed “Geography” section as it was mainly a repetition of the introduction.
- Removed some non-english phrases that did not have translation or explanation.
- Removed too much detail from description of local dishes.
- Fixed words capitalized for no reason (e.g. Tomatoes, Onions).
