Bad picture?
[edit]I strongly suspect that the picture currently used for the title of this article is wrong. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure it shows panel delamination or possibly ingress by something, not image persistence. --Dolda2000 (talk) 01:39, 27 May 2017 (UTC)

Flicker-induced image persistence
[edit]There seems to be another sort of image persistence that arises from flickering images. I haven't seen a good technical explanation, but the rapid changes causes persistence much more quickly (on the order of tens of minutes) than a static image (on the order of hours). It might be specific to IPS displays, but I'm not certain. I've experienced this personally, and there are other anecdotal reports about this occurring when deinterlacing and when displaying millisecond timers. Has anybody seen a suitable reference to add to this page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.80.242.104 (talk) 21:46, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
Did I fix the tone?
[edit]Is the tone better? Worse? I don't know! Please can someone look it over to see if I should remove the template? 'Ridge(Conversation|Fascination|Imagination) 14:05, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
Impermanent?
[edit]For the first time in several years, I just turned on the phone (Samsung S7) I used to play Pokemon Go. The pokeball icon is a still very noticeable on the screen. - Immigrant laborer (talk) 15:05, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
