I'm not sure why we need a lengthy excerpt of the law. The summary and a link to the text of the law should suffice. Also, there is already a link to the fact sheet with the listed agencies, so I'm not sure what purpose reproducing the list does here. Anybody can click on the link to see the list. --Ramsey2006 03:30, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have made the changes refered to above. There was no source for the lengthy excerpt of the law. Such a link can be added if it can be found. --Ramsey2006 14:20, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See http://islandia.law.yale.edu/wirc/287g_foia.html for a .pdf of all of the 287(g) agreements (the actual agreements themselves). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.132.120.96 (talk) 22:09, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ICE and DHS didn't exist in 1996. This really should be fixed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.167.255.155 (talk) 14:54, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch! This nonsense is spread all over the internet including the gvmt "fact sheet." A law cannot authorize a non-existent agency (and not even proposed at the time) to have authority over anything. Replaced DHS with "Federal Government." ICE webpages showing who is enrolled in 287(g) have not been always available and current. Perhaps duplicating this data here would be useful. Tomday (talk) 03:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
