This article is written in Indian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, analysed, defence) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
Indian Fast Food The page by title “Indian Fast Food” was earlier linked to the article “List of Indian Snacks” which was quite misleading.
The other point I like to raise here is that Upahara Darshini's status as the pionere in the fast food scene in India. This has been contested in many forums as false. The reason could be the fact that several types of restaurants did serve Idli, Vada etc in fasion similar to Upahara Darshini. This was particularly so in Mumbai and Pune. Such restaurants served these dishes prepared in the regular kitchens and it was done only to accomodate the peak hour crowd - particularly the office goers. Upahara Darshini specifically came up with the concept to introduce the Indian food as fast food similar to that done by burgers etc. I have personally discussed the subject with Mr Prabhakar who started this trend and am more than convinced that no such arrangement existed before. I like the readers to counter this claim with more reliable data than just discarding by a casual remark. Umraz (talk) 11:36, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I have added the POV template to this article as it appears to me that there is a large number of opinionated statements in this article. This is specifically in the introduction, including the lead sentence and throughout the first paragraph, but is also present throughout the article. It mostly consists of unsourced statements using subjective language, for example 'sheer variety' and 'it would not be wrong to say'. I will attempt to fix as many of these as I can but I think many parts of this article need complete rewriting in order to fit in with Wikipedia's standards.
