39th IChO changes
[edit]Since this year's Olympiad, there were some changes in awards given. The honorable mentions are now awarded to 10 best non-medalists based on the overall score. There was also no special award for the winner. If anyone feels like it, please add this information - I have no idea how to incorporate it smoothly into the article. Further info can be obtained from the last section of the preparatory booklet of the 39th IChO. --Tweenk 01:02, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Some have suggested that no special awards were given purely because the Russians were beaten by the Chinese. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.59.61.83 (talk) 13:25, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Just Asking
[edit]Can I create an article that can describe winners (biography) of International Chemistry Olympiad? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.51.43.62 (talk) 04:37, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Royal Society of Chemistry
[edit]This article from the Royal Society of Chemistry's "Education in Chemistry" team: From Cambridge to Hanoi: the journey to the International Chemistry Olympiad may be of use. I'm Wikimedian in Residence with the society, so will leave it to others to decide how to use it. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:13, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
48th IChO not held?
[edit]The article says that the 48th IChO will not be held. Is there a source for this? I am aware that Russia will probably not be hosting it, but I've heard from the organizers in my country that the matter is still being discussed. Can a source either be provided, or the offending sentence rewritten?
COMMENT: 40 countries have refused to take part in the 48th IChO as it is held in Pakistan. According to V. Lunin (Dean of Chemistry Department of Moscow State University), relocation to Uzbekistan is considered. There are also rumors about IChO in Indonesia, but information from Steering Commitee is needed. Should probably contact Gabor Magyarfalvi. Котляров Руслан (talk) 10:04, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

This is quite mistaken, the rules on the ACS page were mostly taken from IChO regulations. By nature, those regulations can not be copyrighted.157.181.189.198 (talk) 09:30, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
