Article in Spanish

[edit]

This article was originally written entirely in Spanish. I'll begin the translation to English today or tomorrow. The Spanish version of the article can be seen in this diff. —2macia22 (talk) 11:17, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comments for other editors

[edit]

I'm still in the middle of the translation, so I'll be making notes here as needed, for the next editor to work on this page.

  • References are formatted like essay citations, need to be wiki-fied.
  • And, actually, the article itself reads like an essay. There seems to be good, notable content, but a lot of it will need to be pared down, double-checked against sources, and/or moved to more appropriate pages (i.e. moving some/most of the lead to invasive species).

  • Cut cut cut. Brevity is beauty, especially in this case where information is repeated apparently for the sake of wordiness. I think a reorganization of the whole article will be in order when the translation is done.
  • Probably a good idea for someone to check that all the common/scientific species names are correct... I'm doing my best, cross-referencing and linking appropriate pages, but translating names is difficult at the best of times, and I'm not a fish specialist.

  • The section on Aquatic Species needs to be reorganized. Preferably with subheadings.
  • The last segment on public policies is turning out to be just a list of international accords and things; it will need to be rewritten.
