I have tried to use the word controversy as a headline to describe certain items in the business developments section and for whatever reason I am not allowed to. The issue of Azoff's attempt to prevent a competing arena in Inglewood is indeed controversy and it should be described as such. His attempt to move the Lakers out of the Staples Center (which competes with The Forum) was controversial. This is controversial because it is an anti-competitive practice. Then there is the issue of the Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger which was orchestrated by Azoff himself. That merger is under DOJ investigations because of anti-competitive practices. The moves he made around the 2018 Grammys in New york by trying to prevent an event at the Barclays Center was anti-competitive. That should be described as being controversial. The only way to describe all this is with the word "controversy" because that is exactly what it is. There has been so much controversy Azoff has been tied up in, yet that word seems to be removed every time I put it in here. Why is that? Does Azoff himself have someone monitoring this page to make sure his name appears clean despite all the controversy around him. There can be no denying that he is controversial within the music industry and I think the DOJ investigation will prove that. We can not whitewash this page simply because Azoff is rich and powerful. Wikipedia should reflect facts and realities. The fact is that his business decisions have resulted in controversy. The reality is that the Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger has had an anti-competitive effect. This is a very strange comment. BLP policy prevents the use of controversy as a reason for a separate section. Regardless, I will look to see what exists there--but it seems like a lot of sources don't even mention him by name ... Quick, Spot the Quetzalcoatl! (talk) 02:10, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
