The boys are referred to as duo and trio simultaneously
[edit]What is this, Schrodingër's Island Boys? Neocorelight (Talk) 01:27, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
why are they noteworthy?
[edit]They are merely a flavor of the month thing and they already got their own wiki article? This article should be deleted since they are not really that known in order to have a page. 13Sundin (talk) 22:48, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
- The article already survived AfD. If you disagree then nominate it again and argue your point. Mbdfar (talk) 01:59, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

- Maybe you need to read what Wikipedia is and what wikipedia is not. 2601:3C5:8200:97E0:60FB:FFE3:7ADD:C599 (talk) 09:49, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- Most people don’t know wiki policies. What OP is saying is clearly not a bias but objective, that the fact they have a wiki page is so patently absurd and unwarranted that it’s like arguing why the sky isn’t brown but is indeed blue. Some can articulate theory about light, color, but most understand intuitively because you can just look outside . This duo has no impact, no record label, no hits. They are simply not musicians of any not moreover are a youth demographic limited hashtag. 76.80.34.182 (talk) 17:36, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

Did island boys manager make this page? This does not warrant a wiki page
[edit]Imagine making a wiki page for a duo of vocal musicians 70 years ago, with no record deal, no hit songs, no notable tours, no impact on the art form. It would be ludicrous. But the recent nature of going viral, makes the phrase “15 minutes of fame” have more meaning than it did when Warhol said it decades ago. Their current and almost certainly brief ubiquity among some youth demographic platforms for entertainment and music, will soon vanish. Wikipedia is not a record of hashtag trends but is supposed to hold at least a semblance of academic integrity.
to go further, they are clearly clones of lil’ pump. They are not even an original trend. 76.80.34.182 (talk) 17:32, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
Epstein hoax
[edit]They are apparently going viral again for a (false) claim that they were pictured together with Jeffrey Epstein as children. See [1]. In fact, the image with Epstein was generated using AI and does not match how they would have looked as children anyways. Furthermore, I’m not aware of any record of Epstein abusing boys (he seems to have targeted only girls). Despite the falsity of the rumor, the fact that it’s circulated so widely means it’s probably as notable as anything else about these two. I myself had never heard of this Island Boys until someone I know on Facebook posted about the Epstein thing. 2604:2D80:6984:3800:0:0:0:801C (talk) 18:14, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

They are identical twins, not fraternal! 2A02:C7C:7C16:7400:3180:12CD:1CB2:FD47 (talk) 13:19, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 13:27, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
- I suggest adding the reference named "yahoo" to the unreferenced sentence "The Island Boys are fraternal twins, with given names Franky and Alex Venegas." at Island Boys § Personal lives. And maybe internally link fraternal twins, while you're at it. --2001:1C06:19CA:D600:D83E:8EAC:34C3:C30C (talk) 18:39, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
- That's unnecessary as the sentence you cited is already referenced by the Yahoo source. Per WP:REPCITE, "If one source alone supports consecutive sentences in the same paragraph, one citation of it at the end of the final sentence is sufficient. It is not necessary to include a citation for each individual consecutive sentence, as this is overkill." Mbdfar (talk) 21:17, 21 July 2023 (UTC)

Not done: Closing this with prejudice because the yahoo! citation clearly says they are fraternal twins. Xan747 (talk) 01:17, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
Coming out
[edit]He didn’t come out as gay. His Twitter (X) and onflyfans are explicitly heteronormative sans occasional baiting incest behaviors. 2600:8800:2087:9300:1186:A5A3:5E55:5062 (talk) 05:41, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
