Photo

[edit]

@Yourlocallordandsavior: I was sceptical too. The photo is taken form here. I cannot read Russian, but Google tells me that the identity of the persons in the photos is uncertain. This source clarifies that the According to the identification of the curator of the Kunstkamera Museum, Valerya Prishchepova (2011: 18), this photograph was taken in 1845 by the Astrakhan photographer Stepan Vishnevskii. The author, Svetlana Gorshenina, rejects this as improbable and accepts Svetlana Nagaikina's re-dating to the 1860s. It may be a photo of Jahangir's son. I have clarified this in the caption.
