Frank's family

[edit]

Does anyone know what happened to Frank's wife and daughter? Did he and his wife get divorced? I'd really like to know. Sergeant Snopake 18:12, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know if he performed in woodstock 1970. They make Woodstock 70 a bold title. And by boldness i do mean there was a woodstock 70. i can't remember all of the performers and they are understated. i know some not enough. i always thought the other players kept track better than me. None have come forward. Could Jackson C. Frank be a link? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.38.131.82 (talkcontribs) 18:54, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to the linear notes on the 1995 version of "Blues Run The Game", he and his wife split around the time his son died (or maybe because of?), which the sleeve said just as much aided to his depression. --GurTheFred 15:55, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see. I'd forgotten I'd actually asked that, I thought I'd dreamt it. Sergeant Snopake 11:14, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The song "Horseshoe Crabs" by the band Hop Along is about Frank. Alpacasoccer (talk) 00:19, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Wiki Frank.jpg

[edit]

Image:Wiki Frank.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Didn't Simon give the ownership of the songs back to Frank?

[edit]

I've read somewhere that Paul Simon did own (or had later bought) the songs that Frank wrote (in the 1960's I presume), but that he gave them back to Frank sometime in the late 1990's (when he heard about his misfortune), just a few years before he died? Can anyone confirm this and (if so) add it into the article? Hakanand 14:31, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's going on here

[edit]

Is he alive? Dead? Is there an organization to this article that I'm just not getting? 99.55.140.174 (talk) 21:54, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He died in 1999. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.166.18.152 (talk) 17:29, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2010 "Previously Undiscovered" studio sessions?

[edit]

Is there any confirmation or citation for the previously undiscovered 1970 studio sessions found in 2010? I can find no easy third-party corroboration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.174.62.28 (talk) 22:49, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

These albums and singles should be added to his discography. http://www.folkblues.co.uk/discographyfrank.html --Alexedits (talk) 07:03, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Death of Franks Son

[edit]

As far as I understand, Frank wrote "Young Child Fixin to Die" responding the loss of his son. Should this be added to the article? The complete lyrics are here: http://songmeanings.com/songs/view/3530822107858716919/ 93.219.162.92 (talk) 11:36, 10 March 2015 (UTC)guest[reply]
