Dialectric you just took a pass over this, and i had this on my watch list somehow so went in to fill in behind you per usual (thanks for the diligent ref checking you do btw!) I looked and looked and this guy is really off the radar. Almost no sources discussing him per se. I did find his really interesting oral history (now an EL), from which I could construct a real biography, but the whole thing would be based on that one, very non-independent source. I don't think that is valid. What do you think about speedy delete or AfD? I would want to stick the ELs somewhere first... On the other hand, it would be a bummer b/c he was the point guy when US biotechnology policy was being formed. But NOTABILITY is what it is. Jytdog (talk) 03:27, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have no strong opinion about what should be done with this article. I don't think a speedy delete is necessary, given the current links. I note that Maryanski is not currently listed on the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition page, though a number of other employees are listed.
