Relationship status

[edit]

An anonymous editor, User:64.172.85.226 has been editing the article to say that Babbit is no longer the partner of Andrea Sperling. This may well be true, and I have edited the text to allow for the possibility; the article no longer states that they are in a relationship. That they were in a relationship, however, and have a family together, can be attributed to reliable sources, so there is no need to delete this. I have looked, but cannot find any reliable sources that say they are no longer together, or that Babbit is dating someone else. This information shouldn't be added, unless we have references to reliable sources to back it up, espacially as this is a biography of a living person. Also, commentary about someone having "stirred up controversy in the lesbian community by returning to men" definitely needs a source, and needs to be worded neutrally. I welcome any input from User:64.172.85.226 on the matter. For example, it would be helpful if you could say how you know that the couple has split up, and if you have seen this reported anywhere, like newspapers or official websites? --BelovedFreak 12:53, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
