[edit]After talking with EFC Statto, it seems likely that the player's name was James (it's listed as such on that site). However, given the absence of definitive confirmation of that, I've moved the article to Jas Coyne, per the listing on the Everton Results site (this is maintained by Steve Johnson, author of the Everton Complete Record book, so can be considered reliable).
