My user name is saber.etc and I recently created a wikipedia profile for Jayne Pierson (fashion designer). In doing so I have stuck to the guidelines of "biographies of living people". I have established, internal links , citations, references and external links. The citations are from reputed news websites such as BBC. Also the writing is in a neutral point of view with a component for criticism.

Therefore, I request that the box appearing on top of the article to be removed. The quality standards and citations concerns are dated September 2009 and if you look at the versions recently, you will be able to observe that since September I have met all the requirements for this article in terms of internal links, external links, references and in line citations.

Also If I have left anything out, please let me know as soon as possible so I will be able to fix what ever is wrong and get back to you.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter.

This article contains a lot of peacock language, the citation style is unclear - should use {{citation}}: Empty citation (help), the image is a copyvio, needs a lot of work, the names should be surnames not first names. Please read WP:MoS. Jezhotwells (talk) 18:31, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

The Western Mail is the national newspaper of Wales, London Fashion Week is a UK major fashion event, BBC Wales is a national broadcaster in Wales, the prize is a national award. What directory listings? I will definitely oppose if you Afd this. Jezhotwells (talk) 11:48, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

She is a real designer, you cant have a Catwalk Designers page on the London Fashion Week web site unless you are an accredited fashion designer. So what are we going for here...

• 1. The person is regarded as an important figure or is widely cited by their peers or successors.
• 2. The person is known for originating a significant new concept, theory or technique.
• 3. The person has created, or played a major role in co-creating, a significant or well-known work, or collective body of work, that has been the subject of an independent book or feature-length film, or of multiple independent periodical articles or reviews.
• 4. The person's work either (a) has become a significant monument, (b) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, (c) has won significant critical attention, or (d) is represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums, or had works in many significant libraries.

Music career

Pierson's first venture was in the music industry working as a singer/songwriter with record company EMI. Her group Gouge, achieved a top twenty single in LA..

Apart from this single self-promoting trumpery (From the fashion world? Surely not.) that is being passed off as a reliable source there is no mention of Gouge anywhere. Such "hits" are invariably milked on successive compilations over the years, have some currency on eBay, can be found on iTunes or Spotify, or get a mention on a fan's blog. I have found nothing. Encyclopaedic articles

Can we bear in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and it's criteria for inclusion are notability and verifiability not truth. These are established by reference to third party reliable sources which discuss the subject of the article.
