Otten

[edit]

I added the Template:One source tag to the American Revolution section since it mostly relies on Otten. I tried to fix this myself, but I simply can't find many reliable sources for Hamtramck's service in the American Revolution. Not until he's placed in the First American Regiment does his name appear in other places. I hope one of you has better luck than I did. Canute (talk) 14:42, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Service Years

[edit]

There was an interesting back & forth in the infobox, today. The Infobox says Hamtramck's service years began in 1776. But in the article, it says he joined the 1st Canadian Regiment in September 1775, and was captured at Fort Chambly (that would have been October 1775). So the text of the article seems to support the edit stating his service began in 1775. Is there a source or another consideration in the text which would support the 1776 start date? (I don't know the answer, just curious about the edits.) Canute (talk) 17:06, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
