why is the photo of him as a Red Sox? Most people will remember him on the Blue Jays or Mariners seriously.. somebody put up a mariners or a blue jays picture.

Why is he listed as never having played in the minor leagues? A rehab stint still counts as minor league service.

"John Olerud became a Christian after having a brain aneurysm." This is an awfully ham-fisted segue. Whomever tacked on this statement, please find a more artful way to to add it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.150.138 (talk) 18:24, 23 January 2009 (UTC) I removed the odd aneurism/Christian statement, as it did not fit. The last paragraph (a paragraph describing his retirement announcement) in the "professional" career section is not a place to discuss an event that occurred even before his professional career began. The statement itself is ambiguous. He became a Christian after every single event in his life up until then. I assume it was something significant about the aneurysm experience that caused his conversion, but I wouldn't know it from reading that statement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.150.138 (talk) 18:35, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. It's a travesty that this article still sports that pic of Olerud in a Red Sox jersey. -- 135.23.189.197 (talk) 03:30, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hall of Fame

[edit]

When is Olerud eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame, and what is the talk on whether he'll make it in or not? 66.49.191.98 (talk) 22:39, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Obstructed view "material"

[edit]

I removed the stuff about his houses' un obstructed view as non notable nd undue weight. If this turns into some widely covered story, than maybe revisit in the future. Thanks, --Malerooster (talk) 16:09, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
