[edit]

@Georgejdorner: No reference indicates that he died in the plane crash on 25 July 1918. There is no record of his death in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission database. Per John Steel Ralston MC. DFC. (1887 - 1928) (wikitree.com), which uses the following source The Scotsman - Saturday 25 February 1928 page 20 (britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk) (subscription required) (3 free page views), someone with this name died on 20 February 1928. Also The Scotsman - Tuesday 13 December 1921 page 7 (britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk) in the 8th Bn. Cameronians section, there is a promotion to Captain for Lt. J. S. Ralston M.C. D.F.C. --Bamyers99 (talk) 01:31, 27 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Aerodrome cites have been removed, as they are duplicated by Shores. Present information in Shores informs us of his death on 25 July 1918. If you have better information, feel free to edit away. With cites, of course.Georgejdorner (talk) 19:18, 27 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
