Origins

[edit]

There is no charter which names him as Juhel de Mayenne. It is only that some people, probably erroneously, have identified him with a possible Juhel de Mayenne. For a full discussion of his origins see the article "Judhael of Totnes" in Anglo-Norman Studies XVI: Proceedings of the Battle Conference, 1993 by John Bryan Williams. The links the bot worked on were in fact live and I have repaired the links to make them all work properly. Doug (at Wiki) 02:14, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
