Proper English
[edit]Somebody editing this page does not know English very well. Please put suggestions in the discussion and let a native English speaker fix it. Thank you. 210.133.127.14 (talk) 07:04, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
kane vs atarigane vs surigane vs chanchiki
[edit]Can we have a citation for atarigane vs surigane being a size distinction? Most shops I've seen just use the term interchangeably, where "surigane" is used way less commonly.
From what I understand, the proper name for this instrument is the "atarigane" and "kane" is just a short name for it.
An additional name for this is "chanchiki", which is based off the kuchi shoga. Someguyfromboston (talk) 00:02, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
