WP:NOR

[edit]

Seems to be quite a bit of WP:OR going on in this page. Without the sections with no citation and original research, there seems to be little actual substance on this page. Maybe it should be merged with the Cantonese nationalism, under the "Social Impact" section. TypeKnight03 (talk) 17:27, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Should include more reliable sources to prove its notability or be deleted

[edit]

This page's sources are mostly primary self-published sources from supporters themselves. It should include more reliable sources to prove its notability. Be deleted otherwise.CA148 (talk) 20:40, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the page's sources are not self-published sources of the separatists themselves. There are however sources which are showing a high level of support for the movement, but are nevertheless independent from it. From what I can see, the page needs more citations for verifiability, but it should not be deleted. Perhaps a merge with Cantonese nationalism is a better idea. They are from bulletin board systems or Twitter. CA148 (talk) 17:48, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In the revision which was produced when I last edited the article, i.e. this revision, one source of verification were posts on Twitter along with a WordPress blog. I assume the two sources were the self-published, unreliable sources of the separatists themselves you were talking about. However, there were also several other sources which were not Twitter or WordPress, and are still on the article now, such as SupChina, Flags of the World, The Liberacy and Bbs Cantonese Asia. The majority of sources were not and are not from the separatists themselves. Anyway, that is completly irrelevant now as the page has been updated. While I do not think there enough sources to create an article detailed and long enough to warrant it a place on Wikipedia, I do not think the page should be deleted rightaway. If it is OK with you, can we go ahead with my suggestion and propose a merge with Cantonese nationalism? Crab2814 (talk) 13:53, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bbs Cantonese Asia is a forum where people post things that are self-published.
Yes I think it should be merged. CA148 (talk) 00:00, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Bbs Cantonese Asia is a forum where people post things that are self-published but it is not run by the separatists of the Cantonia independence movement. Alright then, I will propose a merge. Crab2814 (talk) 17:04, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
