Appeal, and: Brazilian judge/court

[edit]
  1. The BBC source writes that her lawyer told them: she "has appealed", and she "maintains her innocence".
  2. The BBC source writes that it was a "Brazilian judge" who sentenced her.

At least the first statement should be added. I am de-N, en-2, i make language mistakes in the use of indirect speech. --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 12:02, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth

[edit]

This source (Agência Estado, news agency) says she was 34 on November 22, 2022, which means she was born in either 1987 or 1988.

This source (O Globo, newspaper of record) says she was 33 on October 18, 2022, and in another article that she was 35 on November 23, 2023.

This source (G1 (website), mainstream news portal) says October 24, 1992.

Saying that sources disagree, in 2013, Grazia (women's magazine) said "1988", citing Mandatory (company) (which hosted a profile of Torres, bylined by Gary Dudak, who does seem to be an oline journalist per my Google search, and the website Mandatory is described in 2019 as having an editor; it has hundreds of uses as a source on Wikipedia), which said October 24, 1988—or—"1992" citing a 100% non-RS blacklisted forum.

No date of birth should be included in the article until this is clarified. —Alalch E. 12:11, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@ForsythiaJo: What are your thoughts on adding October 24, 1988 as the date of birth, or 1988 as the year of birth, based on the above review of sources? I would discount the 1992 claim, because it comes from either non-reliable or less-reliable sources. —Alalch E. 12:58, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gaia Octavia Agrippa: Hello, any thoughts on the DOB?—Alalch E. 21:51, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Given the above I'd say "born c. 1988" is a safe conclusion. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 22:01, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
