it was announced

[edit]

It was announced by Mayor Steven Fulop, who started a war against Poland attacking Marshal of the Senate. Steven Fulop ignores that about 500 Polish Jews were murdered by NKVD in 1940, many of them Polish army surgeons.Xx236 (talk) 07:17, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wacky first paragraph

[edit]

Read the first paragraph, then close your eyes. What is the object (is it an object, or maybe a digital memorial?) The first sentence of an article should be what the object is, if it has physical existence. E.g.: "The Katyn Memorial is a big bronze statue of a Polish military officer." That doesn't say much, but it gives a picture. We may not want to or need to be excessively gory in the first sentence. It doesn't matter so much what war it was, or exactly where the statue is; city and state would be fine. Anyone who wants to go see it can enquire at the visitor's bureau.Sbalfour (talk) 19:08, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

More Explanation Needed over Monument Controversy

[edit]

In addition, there could be more explanation about the controversy over the monument. It is clear that there was a debate over the location of the monument, but some questions that could be answered: How did the controversy begin? Who were the main advocates on both ends? It would also be good to include a section discussing the monument compared to other Katyn Memorials across the United States and Europe, especially as it could help answer questions of if the type of controversy over the Jersey City monument has occurred over other Katyn Memorials. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laxgirl97 (talkcontribs) 20:06, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
