Freight line

I'm pretty sure at least part of the section south of Keikyu-Kurihama was originally built as a JR freight line, then taken over by Keikyu after the war. There is an abandoned ROW connecting the Yokosuka terminus at Kurihama with the Keikyu main line, and Kurihama seems an odd terminus when you consider that the Yokosuka line was freight-only for some time before the passenger services commenced. Disputed "Fast Limited Express"

The claimed existence of "Fast Limited Express" services first added by Takahiro4 in this edit and then re-added in this edit is unsourced and contradicted by the official Keikyu reference cited, which calls the Kaitoku services "Limited Express" in English. It needs to be supported by a reliable source to demonstrate that it is not original research or simply made-up. --DAJF (talk) 06:22, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

Error in service stopping patterns

In the "Stations" section, the article currently erroneously indicates that Limited Express (Green/Kaitoku) services stop at Oppama Station. It can be confirmed from the official Keikyu website that trains do not actually stop at Oppama, so the "O" in the green column needs to be changed to "<nowiki>|</nowiki>". This is not a controversial edit, as the error was first spotted and corrected by Takahiro4 in this edit (although for some inexplicable reason he also introduced a different error at the same time). --DAJF (talk) 09:09, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

The kaitoku didn't stops at oppama until 2010.So I didn't know this,too.通勤快特(B特急) runs everyday except holiday after 2010.--Takahiro4 (talk) 13:27, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

OK, I withdraw the edit request, since it appears that another editor is now opposing the re-inclusion of information he himself added (which was why I assumed it would be uncontroversial). The current stopping pattern in the article (i.e. Limited Express (Green/Kaitoku) services shown as stopping at Oppama Station) still contradicts the official Keikyu information published in both English and Japanese. --DAJF (talk) 15:30, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

Maybe we can get Takahiro4 to contact Keikyu to get their website update. Truly a lamest edit war

Somehow this page got full protected, I want to laugh. Biggest lol in en.wiki about japanese-related articles.

I know The reason why a edit war occured: There are in fact THREE limited express services:

Kaitoku 快特(Green); as it currently stands without Oppama and Shioiri.

Tokkyū 特急(Red); as it currently stands.

And during morning rush hour peak direction only: Tokkyū特急(Red) from Misakiguchi(Keikyū Kurihama Line) or Uraga to Kanazawa-Bunko, at Kanazawa-Bunko it changes to Kaitoku快特(Green) (and add 4 cars). For Misakiguchi-Shinagawa services it's effectively normal Kaitoku stops + Oppama and Shioiri but no other Tokkyu stops(Kanagawa-Shinmachi/Heiwajima/Aomono-Yokochō). For Uraga-Shinagawa services, further add Keikyū Ōtsu/Maborikaigan/Uraga (the Misakiguchi-Shinagawa is Kurihama Line through service and don't pass these stations). This type is unofficially called B Kaitoku (and officially Communter Kaitoku before 1999)

TLDR: During morning rush hours peak direction all Kaitoku services(Both from Main and Kurihama Lines) displays as Tokkyu when and only when SOUTH OF Kanazawa-Bunko and stop accordingly.

This page contains rush hour crowded informations of each train at many stations. Click on any station SOUTH of Kanazawa-Bunko (e.g. http://www.keikyu.co.jp/file.jsp?assets/pdf/report/2015/20160331_offpeak/offpeak_KK67.pdf http://www.keikyu.co.jp/file.jsp?assets/pdf/report/2015/20160331_offpeak/offpeak_KK64.pdf http://www.keikyu.co.jp/file.jsp?assets/pdf/report/2015/20160331_offpeak/offpeak_KK50.pdf) And you see a note to some trains marked Tokkyu(red) and nominally terminates of Kanazawa-Bunko: "This train continue as Kaitoku from Kanazawa-Bunko".

This information is indeed not useful to non-locals (or even locals NORTH of Kanazawa-Bunko) let alone foreigners, of course you are not gonna find it at http://www.haneda-access.com/ since it's only for foreigners. Japanese service types are indeed so numerous that companies obviously run out of ways of translating them (as evidenced by both Kaitoku and Tokkyū is Limited Express) and different companies translate differently. The above arrangement, that a train change its type during journey, just add insult to injury leaving us foreigners confused (and we are only talking about Keikyu Main Line, even more trains change type at company borders that is Sengakuji). 2001:CC0:2020:2013:2C27:F3F6:B07E:D6E4 (talk) 10:17, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

……And no, in 2010 they add Kanazawa-Hakkei not Oppama to Kaitoku stops, some editors are clearly mistaken.

Delete Oppama from Green LE, it's simply incorrect by all official sources(http://www.keikyu.co.jp/file.jsp?assets/pdf/train-info/kakueki/ros_vertical_map.pdf) (and non-official Japanese source like http://dic.nicovideo.jp/a/%E5%BF%AB%E7%89%B9).
