Clean up

I tried to clean up the article (though I am new at this and most likely did not do things completely correctly) and add references. Please contact me with any questions you have about this post before assuming poor intent on my part... I do have good intent in editing this article and tried to survey the instructions on doing so, so if I inadvertently did anything wrong I would be very open to learning the correct way to do it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Karl a hall (talkcontribs)
