[edit]

Kimberley Street now redirects to Kimberley Road, having previously been deemed to be non notable. What of the following options seem most sensible.

  1. Keep the status quo as it is.
  2. Resurrect the Kimberley Street article, if this article is notable enough for inclusion, then the street this community predominantly resides in must be notable too.
  3. Given that the majority of the community resides on Kimberley Street, the two are more or less the same, so retarget the Kimberley street redirect to this page.

Depending on which of the above three then wikidata links can be made accordingly. I guess for options 1 and 3 the most appropriate links would be for zh:金巴利街 to link to this page.--KTo288 (talk) 19:23, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is not inherited the street as a street is not notable. the fact that local "Korea town" exists in Hong Kong appears to be notable. The fact that it happens to be on Kimberly Street is documented in our article, but it does not make the street notable. If there was any sourced content in the Kimberley Street history that would be appropriate to incorporate here, then we can do so. If the term Kimberley Street is most widely used as a synonym for Korea Town, the redirect can be changed to here. If the term is most commonly used to refer to the street itself, it can remain as is. If it is commonly used to refer to either the street itself or to Korea Town, the page could be made a Disambiguation page. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:49, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @RedPenOfDoom: for the feedback, I guess for everyone this is a non issue, I guess the status quo is the best option, I'm pretty sure that anyone wanting Korean Street will be wanting Kimberley Street, but not vise a versa, if I had been sure of either of the other options, I would have been bold and made the changes.--KTo288 (talk) 23:28, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
