Notability

Does this article conform to WP:BAND? Blue Rasberry 22:47, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I certainly think so.

According to Wikipedia's 'Criteria for musicians and ensembles' in Wikipedia: Notability (music), Laarks meets criterions 1.: many magazine and online articles have been published about them, several of which are cited in the Wikipedia article, 2.: I'm assuming that the only criteria for being on a national music chart is to have a professionally released record which Laarks does by Absolutely Kosher Records, and 4.: an upcoming tour is scheduled so this criteria is close but not technically fulfilled.

Regardless, the article says that "A musician or ensemble...may be notable if it meets at least one of the following criteria" so it seems to me that there is no question as to whether Laarks meets the WP:BAND criteria.

Thanks for your input.
