[edit]While the current content of this article is completely stupid and inane, I recall that the shampoo company that added "repeat" to the instructions did so while sales were declining, and managed to vastly increase revenue with the gimmick, since people had to use twice as much shampoo. I don't have a source for this, which is why it's in the talk page. I was hoping to find here which was the company that did this, and was grossly disappointed to see this page here. --RealGrouchy 18:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Too me the article is useful
[edit]I don't think that this article is completely stupid, and too me it's been helpful. As I'm not a native speaker, let alone from the United States, I've stumbled over the phrase 'rinse and repeat' and wikipedia (once again) got me the clue, what was meant. So please, do not remove it. 85.178.211.103 (talk) 05:23, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Feedback
[edit]To me, the article reads like an over-analyzed joke. Suggest moving it to Wiktionary (if it's not already there). - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:45, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

different meaning
[edit]While "Lather, rinse, repeat" may mean all that has been said here, and I found it interesting to read (including the link in the Talk page), I was redirected from "Wash, rinse, repeat" which I was originally looking up, for its origin. I would use THAT phrase to mean something repetitive, or repetitive from day to day, such as "The Dow Jones has gone up today," "The Dow Jones has gone down today," "The Kardashians have done something or other," wash, rinse, repeat. Can anyone add any citations for that meaning of that variant? 74.66.250.74 (talk) 12:34, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
