Connection to Boston

[edit]

One of the Dovid Bidermans was the uncle of the first Rebbe of Boston Saxophonemn (talk) 09:05, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That would be Rabbi David Tzvi Shlomo. His sister was the mother of Rabbi Pinchas David Horowitz of Boston. הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 23:41, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Lelov?

[edit]

What is Lelov in Rav "David Biderman of Lelov"? It sounds like it could be a place name, but I was unable to find any mentions of it. Presumambly it predates the dynasty, and I think it would be interesting to have it explained; certainly I, knowing nothing about the subject, would be interested! I linked it in the article, on the off chance the red link would encourage someone to create the article, but if the experts think it would be better explained within the existing article that's good too. - squibix(talk) 20:57, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's in Poland, I don't know how it's written in Polish Itzik18 21:26, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lelov is the city in Poland today known as Lelów - Saxophonemn (talk) 08:58, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Table should be deleted

[edit]

What is that table ("Usually has these characteristics") doing here? It should belong in a general page about Hasidic dynasties!

I would like to delete it but cannot find it in the edit page. Can anyone help?

chronology?

[edit]

The chronology looks suspicious with multiple Rebbes having the same name living at the same time and not overlapping who we know to be their fathers. Can somebody please fix this? AFAIK there was no Lelover Rebbe in Beitar, only Jerusalem. This is a very confusing page.77.125.145.57 (talk) 06:24, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed it would make sense to have a numbering scheme for each generation. Saxophonemn (talk) 09:00, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
