LNILigue nationale d'improvisation — In Wikipedia, we must introduce articles with its complete name, not its acronym. — Jimmy Lavoietalk 03:17, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, this is an English rule for the names. In French, the letters of the names are not capitalized. The most common example is : Ligue nationale de hockey (for NHL). Sincerely, Jimmy Lavoietalk 22:45, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why have we gone small? Anyway, it was capitalised like that in the title and text of this French language page, which is why I thought it might be the correct way --Rogerb67 (talk) 02:48, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's a typography error for the title. But in the history text, it's not capitalized [1]. They seem to use both of typography rules on the website. Anyway, the correct typography should be "Ligue nationale d'improvisation". Their website would need a little clean up in my opinion. Anyway, I still believe it should not be capitalized. ;-) Sincerely, Jimmy Lavoietalk 02:33, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I happened to note today that Wikipedia:Manual of Style (France & French-related) says: "Capitalization of French expressions and titles is currently highly chaotic". Clearly. Anyway I have no problem with the capitalisation provided it follows some accepted method of capitalisation in French (I will accept your assertion it does). --Rogerb67 (talk) 23:49, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
