Changing the list to a sortable table for winter 2011-12

[edit]

Editing and rendering this page becomes quite cumbersome when the amount of transfers grows larger towards the end of the transfer window. I personally prefer the sortable table used in England and most other countries. How about using it (or something similar) for the next transfer window in 2011-12? Any opinions on that from recently most active editors Sir Sputnik, Hilfemann and ArtVandelay13 or anyone else? Kq-hit (talk) 11:13, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Split in half due to length?

Split - Split in half (or more) due to length?--Jax 0677 (talk) 23:05, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Using | style="text-align: right;" and | style="text-align: center;" a total of 1,887 times in the pre-split list is a huge waste of around 50KB, if you are bothered about page size and/or loading time. C679 12:06, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting the list up by club makes very little sense when you consider that all but two of the Bundesliga clubs and several of the 2. Bundesliga clubs already have season articles for 2011-12 in which these transfers are mentioned, and that such articles would be notable for the clubs that don't have them yet. The value of this list not so much listing each of the individual transfers, but listing all of them together in one place. Sir Sputnik (talk) 00:17, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Size matters

[edit]

I cut 10k by removing the flags (which violated MOS:FLAG). More can be saved by simple economy: instead of wikilinking every position ("FW"), the table could simply have "FW" with a legend. Common sense. Drmies (talk) 20:24, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
