Merger proposal

[edit]

I tagged this list for a merger to Junior Eurovision Song Contest#Winning entries. I think it's a pretty clear-cut case even nearly worthy of a simple redirect, but the lead has some amount of information not located there, so I decided on a merge instead. --Mr. Magoo (talk) 14:40, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose merge we already have a similar article for the senior contest (List of Eurovision Song Contest winners) which is of featured list status. So having one for the Junior contest is warranted. These two articles go into more depth about the winners over the years. Having their content merged into the main contest articles will make them look hideously and untidily large. Wes Mouse  10:48, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Should the runners-up really be on this page?

[edit]

This is a list of winners, so also including the runners-up doesn't make much sense to me. For the same reason, the runners-up are also not on the list for adult Eurovision. JochemvanHees (talk) 12:37, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. There's nothing notable about coming second that isn't shared by coming in any other place. dummelaksen (talkcontribs) 12:49, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sort key

[edit]

@Gael13011: hello, I hope you are doing well. I'm curious why you changed the sort key for Category:Junior Eurovision Song Contest winners to a whitespace ( ) instead of an asterisk (*)? It is standard on Wikipedia to use an asterisk for list articles; see WP:SORTKEY. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 21:52, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
