Baby Isla/Abigail
[edit]Spoilers below.
Do we update the infoboxes of all the characters involved in the Isla/Abigail storyline?
For those unaware, Nicolette Stone ran away with David Tanaka and Aaron Brennan’s baby. David’s father, Paul Robinson, tracked down Nicolette and paid her to give him the baby. Nicolette gave another baby to Paul and kept David and Aaron’s baby. The fake baby is currently credited as Isla Tanaka-Brennan and is actually the child of Britney Barnes and David’s brother, Leo Tanaka. Her real name is Abigail. This information has not yet aired on television.
I talked to DaniloDaysOfOurLives and they said that when we find out information, we usually update pages and infoboxes, even if said information has not yet aired. Please note that I didn’t go into the details about this storyline when asking. Your answer is much appreciated, Danilo.
Since this storyline is so complex, I thought I would start this discussion to get a broader consensus before making any changes. So, with that, do we update pages and infoboxes relevant to this storyline with the new information released? - Therealscorp1an (talk) 13:14, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
@U-Mos:, I saw you made some changes, so I thought I’d invite you here. I’ll invite a few others while I am here. @DaniloDaysOfOurLives, Raintheone, Soaper1234, and B.Davis2003:. - Therealscorp1an (talk) 21:49, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- As far as I know, there's no precedent to ignore referenced information to update the prose of articles - particularly in Britney's case, where the initial information is around her appearing to be the baby's biological mother - which we now know she is. As far as infoboxes go, I'd say no rush - what is likely to change instead when the story plays out is the credited names of the babies, i.e. the destination of a link to Isla Tanaka-Brennan rather than the link itself. I guess 'Abigail' (unlinked) could be listed as Leo's daughter with this new reference for the time being if desired. U-Mos (talk) 22:03, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- I agree with @U-Mos: B.Davis2003 (talk) 09:38, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
Scott/Corey Triffett
[edit]I have noticed that Scott Triffett, played by Steven Oktaras, the delivery man who has appeared a number of times, has recently been renamed to Corey Triffett. Are we billing Corey as a different character or just as Scott but renamed? Same profession, same surname, same actor, different first name. I assume we credit him as a different character, but I just want to make sure. - Therealscorp1an (talk) 11:12, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Soaper1234, DarkGlow, and JuneGloom07: Just bringing you guys into the discussion. - Therealscorp1an (talk) 22:11, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- It's the same character. It was likely a crediting mistake, as he shares the surname with crew member Corey Triffett. - JuneGloom07 Talk 22:59, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response. - Therealscorp1an (talk) 00:02, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
