Missing storms?
[edit]Here are the storms we need to look into for inclusion prior to sending this to FL: Katrina 67, Liza 68, Irah 73, Norman 78, Paul 78, Lidia 81, Norma 81, Olivia 82, Paine/Roslyn 86, Douglas 90, Virgil 92, Winifred 92, Irwin 93, Rosa 94, Madeline 98, Ignacio 03, Lane 06, Olaf 09, Fabio 12, and Norman 12. - For the recent ones, the Albuquerque weather summary mentions nothing for the 2012 ones, Olaf, Lane, or Ignacio. Their monthly summaries go back to 2002, and if they're not mentioned there, I think it's pretty unlikely a storm affected the state. The remnants of Madeline and Rosa both affected Texas, more than New Mexico. From what I've seen in Google news reports, Irwin's remnants did impact the United States, but more so much further north (and presumably west). Got nothing for the 1992 storms, ditto Douglas. According to HPC, Paine and Roslyn's moisture stayed in Texas, and I checked Google news, there is nothing. The NCDC report for September 1982 mentions nothing for Olivia in New Mexico, just CA and UT. Satellite imagery in the October 1981 suggest that the outer circulation of Norma did affect the state, but the report mentions no damage or effects. So everything back to 1980 should be good in the article, unless we get confirmation about Norma. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:53, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
- Nothing for Paul or Norman (per Google News/Storm Data), Irah, or Liza. NCDC mentions some severe weather in New Mexico in early September 67, potentially from Katrina. As with Norma above, it's pretty likely Katrina affected the state, but without any sources, it's pretty unlikely. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:21, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- This should be good to FLC then. YE Pacific Hurricane 01:31, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
