I've added some of the official English-language character names from TokyoPop's versions of the manga and novel and moved them to a more prominent position than the stricter fan transliterations, under the theory that most English-language fans are likely to be much more familiar with those name versions than the "originals". However, the standardization process is likely to be an imperfect nightmare due to minor inconsistencies among the three different English-language media. Although all of them use the spellings "Jinto" and "Lafiel" for the two main characters, I have no idea how to reconcile slight differences among the translations of the novel and manga (both via TokyoPop) and the captions/subtitles in the anime (via Bandai)-- should every variation be listed? is it really worth pointing out that the original "Laicch" is "Lexshu" in the novel but "Lexshue" in the manga and anime?-- but for now am using the novel as the primary reference, with the manga as backup for the later parts of the storyline that haven't been translated yet.
